Lis saw Preben off from Billund to Miami. He went ahead alone, believing in the dream they had built together and trusting his family would soon follow.

With every dollar invested in their new store, there was nothing left for an apartment, so the Knudsen family of four lived in the back room of this store.

Living inside their new store, Preben and Lis built a future with newborn Peter and Susanne, balancing family life and business through courage, sacrifice and shared dreams.

The family car was traded for a van so Preben could deliver furniture while Lis watched the store. This must have been a Sunday, with the store closed for the day.
